Imported needle coke

      Imported needle coke refers to needle coke produced abroad, mainly imported from Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and South Korea. The advantage is that the product quality is stable for a long time, and the main indicators (such as CTE and S content) are significantly lower than domestic indicators. Currently, large-sized ultra-high power graphite electrode joints and some bodies still require imported needle coke as raw materials, and high-end 3C products' battery negative electrode materials also require imported needle coke for production.

       Needle coke is a high-quality petroleum coke that has been vigorously developed in the field of carbon materials. It has a silver gray appearance and a metallic luster as a porous solid. Its structure has obvious flow patterns, with large pores and slightly elliptical shapes. The particles have a large aspect ratio and have a fibrous or needle like texture. It feels lubricating to the touch and is a raw material for producing high-end carbon products such as ultra-high power electrodes, special carbon materials, carbon fibers and their composites. According to different production materials, needle coke can be divided into two types: oil-based needle coke and coal based needle coke. Needle coke produced from petroleum residue as raw material is oil-based needle coke; Needle coke produced from coal tar pitch and its fractions is called coal based needle coke.
